Tex Saverio Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2014 finale

Of course we all (have to) admire this super talented designer. Tex Saverio, Jakarta based designer whom proudly made his creations worn by world's super stars like Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian and Academy Awards Best Actress, Jennifer Lawrence for her role in Hunger Games sequel. Tex is totally "grown up". I cannot forget on how amazed myself by seeing his collection two years ago in Dewi Fashion Knights Jakarta Fashion Week. Titled "La Glaçon", Tex was showing his collection like an ice queens (in a theatrical way). His collection full of with intricate details by exquisite treatments like lasercuts, lots of layering. Can you imagine he is using 300 meters of fabric to create one dress?. Tex collection's strong character visual also supported by the accessory and the make-up. He is serious with his concept, dude.

Nonetheless fascinated I am with Tex theatrical dress, I cannot keep my hands off from reality. I have question, is it possible for Indonesian women wearing one of his dress in a real form to their formal occasion?. Let's say cocktail party. Of course that would be a joke. But in fact, Tex shoots in the right target. He successfully catches the big fish. For example Lady Gaga wore his pieces in US Harper's Bazaar and her fragrance ad campaign video. Tex cleverness to shoot in the right target on who would perfectly fit his creations made me believe that this man, will shine in international market (we hope so). Then day by days my ears filled by the news of Tex collection worn by more international celebrity. This news makes me suddenly curious if he could make his reay to wear line. And so this curiousity answered. Tex Saverio finally launches his ready to wear line for Spring/Summer 2014 in Jakarta Fashion Week 2013/2014

Metallic Jewel Tone lasercut leather top

When seeing the first look, still there is a touch of his couture treatment to the pieces. His determination for collection making is shown by his exploration skill using high-tech treatment in material combination. First is leather. The lasercut treatment shaping the leather he used for the collection as the symmetrical tendril effect. Tex chooses metallic jewel tone for the leather. Blue, magenta, green and gold seemed exquisitely draws the luxury of precious stones. The leather itself for some pieces combined with another material. Take a look at see through materials as a dress or long sleeve mixed his lasercuts leather.

As this Spring/Summer collection, it is the breath of gothic felt in his collection. This collection dominated by black colors. For an example in one jumper, the jewel tone Tex chose for the leather applied in a black color based item. Well, back on theory black suits everything. Tex also really made his point for his ready to wear line by showing wearable items like jumper, ruffle skirt, sleeveless turtleneck dress, and basic pants. All the looks looked perfectly fit in how he matches wearable items and another with twist in one look.

It is about the ruffle power as his collection charm. In his fantasy creations, big ruffle is the necessary parts of his dress charms. The volume which applied by another intricate details from the brocade effect or the lasercut leather made the taste of his fantasy creations kept. And now revealed in a wearable way. At last, there was Paula Verhoeven walked dramatically as the finale look in sleeveless maxi dress with big ruffle. The look completed with oversized king crown-esque headwear on her head. Well, we were seeing the theatrical DNA roars. 

The Rhythm of Playful Moment

What is wrong with attention seeker? I think they have the confidence, they have the bravery or something you do not have. What would you do if you find yourself styled in highest level of boredom? Wise words said that we have to mature enough to let ourselves be childish. But yes, the childish is the point. When we are not afraid of everything, when our mind in a less boundaries. I didn't say that this is the right way to kill your boredom of styling yourself, but trust me this is could be your moment to be fearless. Have you had that before?

For many gentlemen, who prizes their dignity more than anything, printed clothes is about being sassy, making they look like a faggot or another similar non-sense opinion. In fact the key is the confidence and bravery to looked better than anyone else. Let's call it Playful step. And make your own rhythm.

Springy Frills

Can you see how beautiful ruffles could accentuate your look? As one of the hot trends of 2013's spring/summer season, ruffles also dazzled my eyes when seeing Gucci, Givenchy, until what Nicholas Ghesquiere did for Balenciaga in his last collection to the fashion house. So there is no reason to not involved. I guess I will find which ruffle fits on me XD

Danjyo Hiyoji Spring/Summer 2013: Asymmetrically dramatic

One day before the show held to get the invitation is not discourage me to attend the show. Another our admirable local brand, Danjyo Hiyoji showed their Spring 2013 collection last night. The show held in Fairgrounds sidehall SCBD Jakarta. Smaller than I thought, but interestingly it was looked like a private show when the intimacy of the entire crowd (the brand's mutual relations) wrapped the atmosphere. Spotted the anonymous designer Adit puspoyo, the environmentalist designer auguste soesastro, nylon's rédactrice en chef Ein halid, and fashion editors filled the seat. They are very excited to see the collection, speaking of excited, oh me included! This is actually the 3rd sequence show of the brand. The show itself coupling the future10 and RatedA as the show's fully "supporter".

At first, when entering the the gate and registering my seat, they gave me a futuristic engraved bangle of the show's name, wrapped by delicate canvas. Plus one for my accessory haha. Then the DJ's music is accompanied the crowd while the show getting started. There are some interesting displays to looked at. Future10's (the show's organizer) curatorial, the bar which provides you the bali hai, and photobooth. There was something to do before the show started.

The show started with the RatedA's metamorforward fashion online competition winner strutted the runway. They are Dietha caesar, Catherine Soepadhi, Vania gunarti & Aldora gunawan and Mega saffira. Then there were an attractive projection with three models brought the viewers to the virtual explanation of the collection concept. The line's show title itself named "Asymmetry". What's more appealing, after you've seen a lot of VB's bangs if you heard the same word of the show's title?

Renata Kusmanto opened the first look of the collection with black stoned embellishment blazer, sheer robe, and fuschia pants. red and green derivative, monochromes, decorates the contemporary silhouette of the collection. Another appealing wearable pieces of the collection could the fabric blocking they played. Black leather combined with cottons jacket, shirt and sweater also dominate the attention.
